Below is a movie of the digestive system project. This was an EL wire creation using the custom sequencer board I designed. The wire was affixed to screen-door mesh using thin steel wire. The mesh was then mounted on a piece of plastic to give it some structure (something I now regret). The whole unit was then attached to the front of a cooking apron, whose pockets housed the batteries and sequencer box

Two boards were used to control the more than 40 channels of sequenced wire. A master board displayed specific segments and controlled the overall timing. A second board acted as a slave to the master's timing signals, displaying the additional segments of wire.

This piece was worn once during Burning Man 2001. It hasn't been worn since due to the fact that it's pretty uncomfortable to wear.
